Our Practice Philosophy

Our group-based practice was founded upon the fundamental belief that adolescents work best in a positive, strength-based approach.  We utilize CBT and DBT principles and each of our groups is led by an independently licensed Doctoral or Masters level clinician.  Our intake team helps provide information about appointments and groups while providing a comprehensive intake session so all clients and families understand our group and practice principles.  Intakes also allow us to understand each client's history and ensure that their group experience is tailored to their needs and that the group is a good diagnostic fit.  Upon successful completion of the intake, an invoice will be provided showing payment and group treatment codes for families that have an outpatient benefit that they would like to utilize.

For the last six years, Triad Adolescent Services has served the greater Boston community with quality outpatient groups and services.  Located on Massachusetts Avenue in Lexington, Massachusetts, our offices are convenient to many neighboring communities and we have the ability to provide quality, confidential care in a comfortable environment.

Groups are co-led by clinicians with a combined seventy years of group and individual experience.  With current appointments at McLean Hospital in Belmont and Harvard Medical School, Dr. Gillian Galen leads Triad's group offerings and clinical team.  Each group leader's compassion and clinical skill embodies the quality care that each group at Triad Adolescent Services provides.

Our practice is built upon the principle that clients and families have the determination to enact change and the groups are a vehicle by which we can teach strategies to begin change and provide support for individuals with similar needs.  Please use the links to navigate our current group offerings or feel free to call or email with specific questions about our practice or groups.
