Group Description

This group combines effective parenting skills with peer and group leader support.  This group is a skill teaching, implementation, and support group with teaching topics that include validation, mindfulness, behaviorism, contingency management, relational and self respect effectiveness, generating self care and compassion, diagnostic information, mood management, and conflict resolution.  Support topics revolve around current parenting dilemmas and group-leader facilitated discussion.  Parents are asked to commit to attending the group for 12 weeks and can remain after the initial commitment in 4 week intervals.

Group Topics

Group topics include, but are not limited to:


     Practicing and enhancing mindfulness in everyday life

     Establishing and practicing contingency management

     Understanding and using levels of validation

     Caring for oneself and practicing self compassion

     Understanding emotions and their functions

     Providing peer support and guidance for parents


Group Fee Schedule

$680 - 8 weeks  - 1 Parent  (minimum commitment - 12 weeks)

$1040 - 8 weeks - 1 Couple  (minimum commitment - 12 weeks)
